UFC 98 is over now, and we need to go to Germany where the focus now is on UFC 99, which will be held in Cologne on June 13, 2009. Before the predictions and bettings started, there had been tremendous pressure from local child protection commission, there in Germany that the Ultimate Fighting Championship forces a ban on ban minors from attending the UFC 99 event.

What do you say to the addition of Mirko Cro Cop and Cheick Kongo to the card of UFC 99? Does it add pounds of value? Well, yes certainly!

But there are many fights to keep our retinas waiting with regards to the UFC 99 lines; the Spencer Fisher-Caol Uno fight in the lightweight division deserves a special mention although the main event between Rich Franklin and Wanderlei Silva in the light heavyweight division should descend a war in Cologne, because its between one of the UFC’s very unpredictable muay thai fighters Silva and one of the most technical boxers Franklin.

Franklin is favored with odds as compared to Silva, in what is being dubbed as a match between one of the UFC’s most technical boxers (Franklin) and one of its wildest, most unpredictable muay thai fighters (Silva).

At the welterweight division, the fight between Mike Swick and Ben Saunders looks to be evenly poised because both the fighters are waiting to reach the division’s elite..
